We always look forward to working together on future projects, with similar mindsets for quality and striving for perfection.
Ian has honed his skills in designing and manufacturing a variety of window and door styles, handling both the intricate creation process and the precise fitting that follows.
For Ian, woodworking is not just a profession; it’s a passion and a lifelong pursuit. The joy of turning clients’ visions into tangible realities is what drives him.
From design through to finishing and fitting is exactly how Ian loves to work to give the quality the customer deserves.
As soon as Matthew picked up his first chisel at school he knew he wanted to work with wood. At the age of 15 he started an apprenticeship in Antique Restoration in a local company in Hethersett.
After doing his GCSE’s he worked at the Antique Restorers and done 2 years at Norwich City College gaining NVQ’s in Fine Hand Crafted Furniture.
Once qualified Matthew joined a company in Costessey and gained more experience working alongside Arthur Brett, trained Cabinet Makers. He worked there for thirteen years making fine traditional English furniture using traditional methods and tools.
Since 2012 Matthew has been running his own business undertaking various projects in timber and sheet materials, and working in house for many local furniture companies, making furniture and kitchens across the region and abroad. It was in one of these companies that Matthew and Ian met and sparked a great friendship. Since 2016 Matthew and Ian have worked on many many projects together helping each other out with each others work loads.
Matthew now has 27 years experience in the trade, and is most proud of his attention to detail, high standards of workmanship, and desire for great customer service.
